Acai
is a palm tree that grows in the North of Brazil and is known by the
people as "içá-çai", which means "fruit that cries".
Acai is pronounced ah-sigh-EE
Warning
Just google "acai+scam" . Last time I did this it came
up with over 11 million entries, so that says it all.
There is a huge amount of hype about acai at the
moment. I'm not sure why anybody would want to pay £30 a bottle for
processed fruit juice, or some extracted bits of berries on auto-ship terms that
are difficult to cancel.
Acai berries are undoubtedly great fruits with many
benefits, but then so too are blackberries!
