Wash your
apples and eat them with the skin on as almost half the vitamin C
content is just under the skin.

I have a
slightly vested interest in the Bushey Grove apple trees planted in 2009
at the Chorleywood community orchard. I live in Bushey, and Bushey Grove
is the name of a local area. Although Bushey Grove has been classified as
a cooking apple, I will be eating it raw when it becomes available!
Meanwhile, a few miles walk from the orchard, along the beautiful Chess
valley, takes me to the watercress beds where I can buy beautiful fresh
watercress.

Chorleywood, Herts "The orchard will benefit
local people, visitors and wildlife and over several years will be planted
with around 100 trees, a mix of apples, plums, cherries and pears."
