Cacao nibs can be ground down to create cacao powder. This is also know as raw chocolate powder.
Raw cacao powder (raw chocolate powder) is used to used to make raw chocolate smoothies. The chocolate taste is quite dominant so only a relatively small quantity of powder is needed. About 2T to 3T per litre is usually sufficient.
Because of the dominant taste of chocolate in chocolate smoothies, this allows for other nutritional goodies to be added that might otherwise not be so tasty on their own.
