Sun dried tomatoes have a concentrated tomato flavour and are useful for making really tasty recipes.
You can buy organic sun dried tomatoes in packets. Sometimes these have quite a lot of salt added. You might want to soak this off before using them.
It's also possible to buy sun dried tomatoes in jars. These will be cooked and will have other ingredients and preservatives added, which you might not want.
You can use the dehydrator to make your own sun dried tomatoes. Start off with good quality tasty tomatoes for a tasty end product. They do reduce down a lot.
