Arshavir
Ter Hovannessian wrote the book "Raw Eating" which was published in
English in Iran in the 1960s. This book is out-of-print, although it may
occasionally be found in second hand bookshops.

This was
one of the original raw food books. There is a lot of controversy
surrounding this book. It is claimed on the internet that some other
notable raw food authors have profited by plagiarising the
content, whereas the author got thrown into jail for his efforts to
campaign for clean drinking water in Tehran.
