Wheatgrass shots with slices of orange

This is how I have my wheatgrass drink most mornings now. Just drink it straight down and refresh your taste buds with a slice of orange.

Method

Check carefully that the wheatgrass looks very healthy and is free from any mould. If it doesn't look healthy or if there is any sign of mould then discard the entire tray and review your supply.

Using kitchen scissors harvest the wheatgrass about half a centimetre from the base. If you intend to grow it on then allow a bit  more as it will recover more quickly.

Juice the crop using a juicer that has been designed to juice wheatgrass.

Slice the orange in cross sections latitudinally and cut each slice in half.

Serve

Pour through a fine meshed strainer into glasses and serve fresh.

I prefer to take this on an empty stomach.

Afterwards

Clean the green juicer

If you intend to grow the wheatgrass on then water it and return it to your "farm"

Recycle the waste
